Our Chips A Tally
project directions are extremely teacher friendly. They allow you
to work at your own pace and decide just how long you would like the project
to take from start to finish. Please consult our timeline in How
to Participate? for project deadlines.
Chips A Tally has two options depending on your
length of your class periods and supplies.
Option #1 is to separate the chocolate chips from
the cookie crumbs, count the chips, and use basic statistics to analyze
the results.
Option #2 involves the basic statistics, as well
as using a balance scale to weigh the chocolate chips and calculate the
percentage of chocolate per cookie.
Both options will consist of a set of teacher directions
and worksheets, reproducible student directions and data sheets, critical
thinking questions, an assessment rubric, and data submission form.
Ready, set, TALLY
