Description:
To develop keyboarding,word-processing and general application
skills as they apply to the world of work.Students will be introduced to Microsoft Office
wich consists of Word,Excel,PowerPoint, and Access.They will complete short term progects
based on these applications.In order to enhance there abilities,the will learn and practice
keyboardind skills to increase there precision and speed on the keyboard.
Objectives:
To develop keyboarding skills that may be utilized in varied career choices.
To explore career opportunities related to computer applications.
to develop general skills used in the realm of Business,Science,and Mass Media Computer
applications.
To adapt world scenarios of adhering to deadlines, communication with peers, finding
resoures including people,overcoming obstacles, completing projects and evaluation.
Class Projects:
Students will be responsible for completing various projects
throughout the length of course. They will utilize various computer applications and keep a
profolio of all projects.This will include but is not limited to rough drafts,corrected
versions and final productions.All hard-copied material will be maintained in a three ringer
binder wich is not kept in the classroom for regular weekly evaluation. All students work
will be kept on the floppy disks assighned to each individual and the disk will not be
removed from the classroom. It is the sole responsibility of the student to assure that all
work is properly saved on disk-all files from the computer are purged weekly.
Attendance Policy/Make-Up Work:
Students are expected to attend all class
mettings. All absences must be appropriately excused or make-up-work(including projects and
exams) may not be allowed.Available only to students with excused absences. It is the sole
responsibility of the student to arrange for and turn inany missed work in a timely manner.

Cheating:
There are many penalties for cheating like not
accepting the students who have cheated work.
Behavior:
It is to be referred to the administration for mis-behavior
on several occasions in the various classifications with out reaching the level of
recommended expulsion. It will be up to the building principals discreation to decide
disciplinary action.
Grading:
The students grade will be determined by:
70% daily assignments
30% quizzes,tests,and projects
