Description:
Students will learn to explore and learn about technology, its history and development, its use and application, its impacts on society, the environment and the economy. Technological Systems are analyzed and manipulated using interactive multimedia presentations, simmulations and hands-on activities. Students understand the interrelationship of technical, as well as no-technical,aspects of technological systems.

Objectives:
Each student is provided an introduction to communication, physical and bio-related technology systems in and itegrated, experience-based instructional program designed to prepare them to become knowledgeable about technology--its evolution, systems techniques, utiliation and social and cultural significance.

Class Projects: Students are challenged to learn and apply the technological skills and knowledge they receive via and iteractive multimedia delivery system throughoutthe year while going through the module rotation process. Throughout the year students will go through the following modules in the Technology Lab:
  • Environmental Management
  • Biosphere
  • Multimedia
  • Desktop Publishing
  • Lasers and Fiber Optics
  • Graphic Design
  • Engineering Structures
  • Construction and CAD
  • Audio Production
  • Video Production

    Attendance Policy/Make-Up Work: Ten or more consecutive days of Unauthorized absence during a semester, the pricipal shall give written notice to the student guardian of violation of the Compulsory Attendance Law. Students wishing to make up work must contact the teacher(s) for make-up assignments. Student assignments missed because of suspention of expulsion may not be made up.

    Cheating: If proven, a charge of plagiarism or academic dishonesty could result in an automatic F in this course. Copying from another student's examination or allowing another student to copy from your examinations is also a violation of the academic standards.

    Behavior: It is possible to be referred to the administration for mis-behavior on several occasions in the various classifications with out reaching the level of recommended expulsion. It will be up to the building principals discreation to decide disciplinary action.

    Grading:
    The students grade will be determined by: 70% daily assignments 30% quizzes,tests,and projects
