Answer by Dhali on 4.28.00 2:41 AM
The problem with you is that whenever you reach some "plateau of understanding", you have a tendancy to suspend any possibility that vulnerability exists. "Invincibility" - somehow creeps into the equation. Toward the remedy of that particular ailment, I offer this potential cure:

Perhaps, that plateau is only a self-gratiating belief that what is not, in fact, is (or is, in fact, is not). Perhaps you are not quite who you think (or know) you are... Perhaps, mortality is an intimidating foe (vulnerability equals death).

Whenever you reach that state called "understanding", force yourself to accept the fact that you have only graduated to the next level of kindergarden - for even if you are absolutely and truly "one in a million", there are, at the very least, five thousand of you alive at this very moment (considering the world population of an excess of five billion). Even still, when considering the history of Humanity, and the multitude of those who have come to pass, these living five thousand are only a grain of sand on the beach of time.

So, I advise, whenever epiphany settles on your soul - whenever safety in "knowing" satiates your mind - whenever you attain that elusive "peace" (which - if you are human - surely, you must seek), please know your footsteps not fresh, your security illusion, and your peace only temporary.

Maintain vigilant watch over your ego. Only in knowing your own misgivings, will you truly attain that which eludes you.

This has been your problem. And this has been your solution. Then again, I could be wrong...
