IN
LOVING MEMORY OF ALL CHILDREN
THAT
HAVE LEFT THIS EARTH MUCH
TOO
SOON AND ARE NOW ALL
"CHILDREN
OF THE HEAVENS"
I'll lend you
for a time, a child of mine,
He said...
For you to
love while he lives,
and mourn
for when he's dead.
It may be
six or seven years,
or twenty-two
or three,
but will you,
till I call him back,
take care
of him for me?
He will bring
his charms to gladden you,
and should
his stay be brief
you will have
his lovely memories as
solace for
your grief.
I cannot promise
he will stay,
since all
from earth return.
But, there
are lessons taught down here
I want this
child to learn.
I have looked
the wide world over
in search
for teachers true,
and from the
throngs that crowd life's lanes
I have selected
you.
Now will you
give him all your love?
Nor think
the labor vain,
Not hate me
when I come to call
to take him
back again?
I fancied that
I heard them say:
Dear Lord,
you will be done,
For all the
joy your child shall bring,
the risks
of grief will run;
we will shelter
him with tenderness.
We will love
him while we may,
and for the
happiness we have known,
forever grateful
stay.
But should
the angels call for him,
much sooner
than we've planned,
we'll brave
the bitter grief that comes
and try to
understand.

~MY
LAST GIFT~
~Julie A.
Reyes~
If butterflies
and rainbows were sent from you to me,
Then I've been touched by light for everyone to see.
If roses bloom
so sweetly and babies Heaven sent,
Then your love has touched my heart and is sweeter yet.
If angels sing
their praises and lift your name on high,
Then I am singly loudly, too, up to the highest sky.
If Jesus holds
you in his arms and wipes away all tears,
Then I will hold you also, when I've lived out all my years.
If God loves
all his children, and takes away all pain,
Then all my love I gave to you was never out of vain.
For the castle
up in Heaven was made for you to live,
An eternal gift to you from me....the last thing I could give.
