Adventure 2

The Ford of Bruinen...

We walked, well everybody but me walked, for many days. I was losing feeling on the side of my body that I was stabbed on and could not walk. Aragorn had put the leaves of athelas, a plant with healing power on my wound to slow the poison. We had come across the Trolls that Bilbo met on his adventure and turned to to stone. We sat there for a while and Aragorn sang to us more stories of Elves and Sam surprised us all by singing a song he wrote himself about Trolls.
that Bilbo met on his adventure and turned to stone. We sat there for a while and Aragorn sang to us more stories of Elves and Sam surprised us all by singing a song he wrote himself about Trolls. We crossed the Last Bridge without trouble but, before long we heard hoof steps close behind us. Thank goodness it was not a Black Rider, but an elf, Glorfindel, a friend of Strider's who lives in Rivendell. I don't really remember this, but Sam told me that they put me on Glorfindel's horse. My wound was getting worse, and I was slipping in and out of dark dreams so, I didn't remember.
As we left the forest, Glorfindel heard the sound of followers and yelled to his horse, that I was on, to run for the Ford of Bruinen. All nine of the Riders came after me at full speed trying to block me from getting to the Ford. Glorfindel's horse proved to be the swiftest and carried me across the river. The Riders gathered on the opposite side of the River and begin to cross, commanding me to come with them to Mordor. I protested, but I don't think a cowardly rabbit would have listened to me. Then, just as three of the Riders neared the other bank, a rush of whitewater shaped like horses filled the Bruinen and overflowed it, and the Riders' horses madly carried off into the rapids and got swept away. That’s all I remember before going unconscious again.
