Dear Father,
can you hear me
From the Heavens
above
Is it really
truly possible
I'm your child
that you love
Sometimes I
have to wonder
When life
seems so tough
Sometimes
I think you've forgotten me
Though I speak
to you above
Sometimes I
have questions I ask
But you never
answer me
Sometimes
I'm afraid of things
Some things
I just can't see
Sometimes the
days are hard
And the nights
are very long
I pray so
hard to talk to you
But I rarely
hear a sound
Can you really
hear me Father
You seem so
far away
What can I
do to get your attention
And talk to
me today?
What can I
do to prove to you
I believe
with all my heart
My life has
been so hard
Since the
day my child had to part
Sometimes I
want to give up
Throw the
towel in and say no
But something
always pushes me
At times I
don't know which way to go
I ask for a
miracle
Just one tiny
one you see
To prove to
myself and others
That you really
do love me
For there were
times I doubted
Times I felt
so all alone
Times I screamed
out to You
In your heavenly
home
But I'll go
on Father
The way I
was raised to do
Believing
you are there for me
And know that
I love you
But what I
would give to hear
You voice
once again
And what I'd
give to see once more
My child,
my little man
I know asking
for some things
Are just not
meant to be
But I'll be
patient and wait my turn
When You take
me into eternity
