~I HOPE~

I hope you'll always have
Memories to carry you through
I hope that  you will always know
Others share what you do

I hope that you one day
Will find reason to smile
I hope that though you don't understand
Life on earth is for just a little while

I hope that you believe
In God and Heaven above
And know that your child
Is very strongly loved

I hope that time will give you
What it has given me
Time to survive this pain
And perhaps one day see....

Though we don't understand
Why we were chosen this way
To lose our child so senselessly
To have them taken away

I hope that in your heart
As you travel down this road
No matter how tough it seems
Know others are carrying the same load

I hope that you understand
Something once told to me
"He'll never give you a cross 
too heavy to bear"
That somehow we do survive this tragedy
