WASN'T SO LONG AGO.....~
It wasn't that
long ago
The day that
we met
I was just
a young woman
But when I
met you, I wept
I'd waited
oh so long
To hold you
in my arms
I smiled with
tears in my eyes
Knowing I'd
one day see your charms
You grew into
a little man
My heart filled
to the brim
I never knew
a love so strong
I loved your
little grin
We did so much
together
Just you and
I alone
I was mom
and dad for you
When your
father left our home
But that was
ok
We managed
and did fine
I remember
stringing your fishing pole
And tying
that thin line
How happy we
were my child
The love that
grew and grew
I couldn't
get enough hours
In a day with
you
And then one
day....
The angels
called your name
Since you
left me here alone
My life hasn't
been the same
It never seems
it was so long
That God called
you home
Each year
that passes always seems
Like yesterday
in my home
I cannot love
you anymore
Than what
I have all these years
I can't begin
to think it's been
So many years
and tears
But I promise
you one thing
And this I
know you understand
That though
I can't see you
You're still
my little man
I know God
is watching out
And taking
care of you
And when the
angels call my name
My life on
earth is through
Then we will
be together
Like we once
were before
It never seems
that long ago
God walked
you through His door
Wait for me
my child
One day I
will be with you
To hug and
hold you once again
The way we
used to do
For Andy
All my love
my son.......
Forever and
ever....
