"FROM SHARON'S HEART"
POETRY WRITTEN BY:
~SHARON JEAN BRYANT~

~IN MEMORY~
~SEPTEMBER 11, 2001~

~MAY WE REMEMBER~

The dust has settled in the city
The cross is proudly there
To show the world a nation
Gave their hearts and cared

The skyline now is different
A reminder to the rest of us
That tragedy can strike anywhere
And all that can be left is dust

And yet I know tomorrow
Will be hard for many of mom's
Who lost their children in New York City
When the planes struck like a bomb

And though the rest of us were untouched
In our personal family lives
I can't help but think about how life has changed
For so many husband's and wives

I think about the Mother's
Who tomorrow will sit by a bed
In hospitals in cities all over the world
Praying for a child in that bed

I will always think of the Mother's
Whose child was called from above
The hearts that hurt because they miss
The child they always loved

And though there are things
That I will never understand
I'll always remember my own child
The one I called My Little Man

There will be a tug at my heart
As there always is this day
And yet I think of others
On this years Mother's Day

I will let my heart be free
And hope that I can send
A message to you From me
Since you are a very special friend

Someone is thinking about you
Some really cares
For you who are mother's
In the whole world, everywhere

God Bless All Mom's
Sharon
