~NOBODY
KNOWS~
Nobody knows
And that's
ok
For years
have taught me
This is my
life today
Nobody understands
Though they
say they do
How I've went
on
With a heart
broken in two
Nobody understands
How each day
feels
When some
are hard
Some unreal
Nobody ever
Mentions my
child's name
Nobody understands
This horrible
pain
Nobody can
Though they
say they do
They can't
understand
Do I really
want them to?
Do I want them
to know
By experiencing
the same
By burying
their child
Then never
saying their name?
What do I
Really have
to do
To get them
to see
My old life
is through
How can I tell
them
They can no
longer see
The person
they knew
Since life
changed me?
How do I say
Remember my
child
Say his name
Once in a
while
Nobody knows
But one who
feels the same
Knowing this
loss
Feeling the
pain
Nobody understands
How words
can stain
And stay imprinted
on our hearts
When our memories
remain
Nobody can
And nobody
will
Until they
too walk
This road
uphill
And yet in
ways
I wish nobody
again knows
What our lives
are like
With broken
spirits and souls
I wish I were
a "nobody"
And did not
see
How my child's
death
Has now changed
me
