and location can assure the sucess of your event.
Weekends are excellent days. People are
enjoying their days off.
Friday is usually payday and they are
likely to have some recreation cash available. Try to plan early in a given
month. People tend to have more money before the 10th of the month.
Avoid Holiday weekends
Most people tend to travel on long holiday
weekends.
Be sure that other, similar events are
not scheduled on the day or days you have chosen.
Competition can drastically cut your attendance.
Carnivals can begin as early as noon and
run until 9:30 P.M.
Choice of a good location
is vitally important.
See where carnivals have been held in
the past. A proven site is your safest choice.
Try to locate the event in a population
center, but avoid congestion.
You must have sufficient parking, nearby
washroom facilities and access to electricity and water.
Be sure to get all the necessary permits
that may be required by the City, or
permission from private land owners.
