Max had a summer and vacation-time job at a company in
Needham Massachusetts called "Click 2 Learn." Max's job involved troubleshooting software written by co-workers at the company. As a practical joke, Max took the company photo and doctored it up, then sent this file to a co-worker, Tim Speer, after seeing the film
"Being John Malkovich." He called it "Being Tim Speer." Although only a student intern at Click 2 Learn, Max was a highly respected member of the
Quality Assurance Department at the company. The company recently dedicated a conference room at their offices to Max's memory.
