“To give
a gift of blood is to give a gift of life.’ During
the months of January and July St. Ignatius Loyola Parish
sponsor a blood drive in conjunction with the Long
Island Blood Services. This opportunity to assist
others back to good health is available to any
person between the ages of 17 and 75 who weighs more
than 110 pounds.

ministry consists of faith filled spiritual women
who are “ …dedicated to strengthening their
spiritual life through Christ and his church.”
Catholic Daughters of America is a national
organization founded in 1903 by the Knights of
Columbus. Members are generous with their time and
talents and are willing to help-out wherever needed.
Meetings are held once a month.

organization of Catholic men concerned with the
welfare of families, neighbors, community and
Church. The Knights provide religious, family and
social activities for their members. Open to all
Catholic men who are 18 years of age or older. Young
Catholic men of junior high and high school age are
eligible to join the Squires.

An organization of Catholic women dedicated to our
Patronesses, Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Theresa the Little
Flower and St. Joan of Arc, are comprised of affiliated
Auxiliaries of the Knights of Columbus Councils.

Is a local Conference of the Vincentian Family, an
international lay organization offering services to the
needy. Members of this ministry respond with a spirit of
friendship and compassion to the needs of the forgotten,
suffering and deprived within the parish. Their ministry
includes home visits and assistance to the poor and needy.
They visit those alienated or incarcerated as well as
minister to the elderly. They also participate in the call
for assistance during times of International and National
disasters. |
