Planning the 20th Reunion

The Class of 1984 is having a 2010 summer reunion…

02-23-2010) As of this update we’re planning on joining the Class of 1985 for their 25th reunion this summer. The date is Saturday July 31st and they’re holding it where we held ours at The Snow Trails Resort in Mansfield, Ohio.

In case I don’t get around to updating this page as often as I should, you also can find out more details on our summer reunion on the Mansfield St. Peter's Class of '84 group John Alton has started.

What Happened Friday Evening (July 23rd)
On Friday evening I think I can say everyone had a great time on the impromptu downtown “bar hop”!

We started out at The Red Fox at 6pm with Jimmy O’Donnel hosting and classmates started to gather. I think I can say all were happy to get back together and caught up with past friendships. Many stories were told and we enjoyed the fair Mansfield weather out on the Patio. Marcy finally roused us on to the next stop (VIP Lounge) by getting up on the table and telling us to get moving! Thanks to Jimmy for the comp drinks and laughs!

Next stop was the VIP Lounge where Sammy (Mike) Sertell hosted and provided comped drinks for all! More stories were told and more classmates caught up with us there. The VIP Room had Karaoke and we tried getting a couple people up to sing but didn’t work! Finally, Marcy got on the bar (we have to figure out how to keep her on the ground!) and roused us out of there! Anyway, thanks to Sammy for the comp drinks and hospitality!

Final stop was the Manhattan Room where we basically took over the back patio and enjoyed the cool night with martinis, drinks and many more stories! Tried to get Jimmy to jump some tables (like he did with desks in HS) but I guess he’s wiser now (or was too sober!). Anyway, thanks to Amy Mosier (owner) for putting up with us at the Manhattan Room too!

All had a great time catching up on the Friday evening hop and looked forward to the Saturday night Reunion event at Snow Trails!

What Happened Saturday Evening (July 24th)
The Reunion started at 7pm at the Snow Trails Ski Resort and people started to file in. As we gathered, we were reacquainted with classmates and memories. Amazing to see how people have changed and how they haven’t! Hors D’oeuvres were provided by Park Avenue Catering and all seemed to enjoy the spread! We caught up on what we’ve been doing for the past twenty years and most all had a great time! Pictures will be posted soon! Looking forward to the 25th!
