Formation

Brandon Blade was already a well-established singles competitor and former champion by the spring of 2015. Chris Peake had just made his debut under his new name, after coming up through the MECCA Training Camp and spending his first couple of years in the business competing on the independent and international circuit. On the May 15 episode of Blast Zone, their paths would cross when they teamed in an unsuccessful yet impressive outing against Oi4K. Blade would then choose Peake as his partner to face the team of Fenris and Alex Shelley on the May 26 edition of Go Time. After another impressive outing, they scored the victory. However, Blade would go on to lose his series against Fenris, and felt the disappointment. A couple of weeks later, Peake approached him in the locker room. He made the offer to become his full-time partner, considering how well they worked together. Blade took him up on the offer, and they won their first official match as a team against Damage Control on the June 19 Blast Zone. The rematch took place at Punked Out, just over a week later. Peake and Blade were now calling themselves Skywatch, coming to the ring with Tron-inspired gear that glowed in the dark. They were once again successful against Damage Control.
