What's New?

I can't believe it's been so long since I've had an update! Well, everything here is still going quite well. I have found homes for several of my hamsters as well as aquired a few more.
I now have Roborovski Hamsters and should be getting some litters from them within a few months! If you'd like to reserve some babies, please e-mail me!
I have cut back on my breeding a lot since I simply can't keep up with it anymore! I have gotten a lot more selective, but don't usually have as many babies to choose from at one time. If you are interested in something specific, please e-mail me for information!
Here are some current and upcoming litters I have:
Panda, my fairly-new black banded Syrian female, has a litter of 9 babies that were born on 11/29.
Shelby, my also fairly-new black Syrian female, is due with her first litter on 12/7.
Gracie, my dove tort, is due for her first litter as well on 12/10.
In Russian Dwarfs I have some blues, blacks, platinums, normals, opals, argentes, and mottled argentes that are ready, or will be very soon!

I recently made a new page that will show all of my current litters. Click here to view this page. You can also get to it from the section of "My Hamsters." This should be helpful for people wanting to buy hamsters as it gives a good idea of what I currently have available.
I brought home some new hamsters this weekend. One is a female light gray Syrian. She is only about 3 weeks old and still very tiny, and I haven't named her yet. Click here to see her. She is also pictured under the female section of my Syrian hamsters page.
The other hamster I got is a hairless Syrian male. He is quite neat, but VERY different! I don't know if I will try to breed the hairless variety or not, but if I get enough requests for babies I might. Click here to see him. I think he is so funny, but kinda cute in his own little way! He doesn't have a name yet either, but I'd like to give him an "alien" name since they are called alien hamsters. He is also pictured under the male section of my Syrian hamsters page.

First, unfortunately, I have some sad news... I lost my oldest female Syrian hamster, Patches, yesterday (Monday, May 29). She was very special to me and I will miss her so much. Then today I lost one of my mottled black Russian dwarfs, Daphne. She was also very beautiful and sweet and she will be missed as well.
On a happier note, I have many new litters...
Syrians:
Valentine gave birth today to a HUGE litter of babies. I think I may have counted 15 or 16! I bred her with Oscar, so they will probably be cinnamon in color.
Hazel's babies are about a week and half old and there are 3 torts in this litter! The rest look like they are probably yellow blacks and black eyed creams.
Dwarfs:
Pecan had her second litter today also, 7 this time.
Rasta also had babies today, I think there are 5 of them.
Jesse's 1st litter is now 1 week old, and Coco's will be 1 week tomorrow.
I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but I think that one of Jesse's babies looks like it may be a champagne!
I think that's all the excitement for now!

Jesse, my blue fawn female from Heavenly Hamsters, had babies today! It's too soon to tell how many there are. I will update you soon!
I've added some pics of my new babies:

Click here to see Penelope's babies!

3 of Pecan's babies survived and they are just starting to open their eyes now. Also, Perdy's babies are now almost 3 weeks old, and SO cute! I will be posting pictures soon! Penelope has 11 babies that are dove, dove banded, cinnamon, and cinnamon banded. Hazel had her second litter yesterday (11)! I bred her with Pongo, so her babies will carry long hair. Lilly (one of my dwarfs) had her first litter (6) with Dudley on Mother's Day, and she must carry opal because they are argente and blue fawn.

The first of my dwarf hamsters from Heavenly Hamsters had her babies last night!!! It was Pecan, and she had 5 or 6 babies. Things aren't going very well just yet, she's still trying to figure out this whole mommy thing... she had one in the wheel with her a little bit ago. She doesn't seem to be harming them though, so I think she will get it figured out soon enough.

Lots of new litters at Happy Critter Hamstery:
Perdita had her first litter last Thursday (5/4). I bred her to Pongo and she had 9 beautiful babies. Most of them are solid black and 2 or 3 are black dominant spot.
Penelope is having her first litter as I type this, so I don't know how many there will be yet, but she was very big the last few days! I bred her to Frito, so I expect doves and cinnamons, some solid and some banded.
Bug had her second litter last Thursday (5/4), and so far it doesn't look like she had anymore blues, but there is one black and several opals... 10 in all!
None of my dwarf pairs from Heavenly Hamsters have had any babies yet, but I think they're getting close!

Sorry I haven't added any updates for a while, but there is a lot going on here!
Faline and Elliot had their 3rd litter on Sunday. I'm hoping that they don't eat them like they did the last one :(
Also, Daphne (and Razz) had 3 babies yesterday, and Smokie (and Sky) had 9 babies today!
Pasha's babies and Daisy's babies are starting to open their eyes and come out of the nest.
Sophie and Nic's babies are almost 3 weeks old, and they are so cute! There is 1 albino, 3 argente, and 2 satin argente (like daddy!).
I also decided to introduce Cosmo to a little mottled black baby boy that I had. They are getting along pretty well, but there is still a little fighting going on, nothing serious though.

In a little over a week there will be 12 new hammies added to Happy Critter Hamstery! They are coming from Heavenly Hamsters in CA :) I don't have names picked out yet, but here is what they will be: 2 Syrians - a long haired black male and a long haired black dominant spot female, 10 Russian dwarfs - a breeding pair of black eyed argentes, a breeding pair of blue fawns (that carry black and BEA), a breeding pair of blues, a breeding pair of normals (that carry black and BEA), an opal female (who carries black, argente, and BEA), and a black female. I'm open to suggestions for names!

Well, yesterday I decided to do something that I had never tried before... I introduced Lilly (a 5 month old dwarf hamster) to a young male and female (about 3-4 weeks old). Everything is going great!! Lilly hasn't offered to fight with them and they have not tried to bother her either! I was so pleased with how this went that I decided to introduce Ebony (another 5 month old female) to a 3 week old black male. They are doing great too! I will be happier when I see them snuggled up in a corner together, but I think it's great that the two older females have even excepted the younger ones!

We currently have 4 litters of dwarf hamsters:
Sophie and Nicademous have 6 little ones (born 3/28/00)... look to be mostly argentes.
Salt and Pepper have 2 babies (born 3/31/00)... can't tell what color yet.
Daisy and Salem have 5 babies (born 4/2/00)... still pink!
Pasha and Sonny have 5 babies (born 4/3/00)... still pink!
Valentine was bred to Frito on March 22nd, and she is due on the 9th of April.
