The Human Race

by Clanlinn

Many tribes with men and women strong!
We've had a fight with history,
And done each other wrong.
Our children know the price we pay,
And shake their heads in shame,
We've fouled our world and killed so much,
There's no one else to blame!
I've cried out in the darkness,
"Could just one, sane soul hear?"
But, I know the sound of my voice,
Is the cause of my brother's fear.
Some asked me of my color,
My reply is, "I am blind!"
And ask me of my sex,
I keep that thought in mind.
Then I'm asked the nation of my soul,
The thing all groupies fear,
Hear the yell, "Part of it all!"
As is everybody here!
