This is a neato tip that my sister, Pat, told me she had heard about, tried, and had good results with: When you choose your main paint color that, for instance, you want to use on your walls, mix approximately a cup of it into the gallon of white paint that you probably have chosen for your ceiling. OR, use your main color choice for the trimwork (door facings, baseboards, cubbards, etc.), and mix that one-cup portion into each gallon of some white paint for your walls. This "pulls" your plain white paint into the "color family" with your main paint color choice. Just that small "kiss" of color mixed in, will give your white paint that little "smooch" of color coordination! You can have the mixing done FOR you at most places where paint is sold. NOTE! The color must be completely well blended into the white. |
