I class politicians as entertainers due to the large amount of fictional tales and comedy involved with government.
The most famous politician is of course Edward Everett, American orator and statesman, best known for having made the featured oration preceding Lincoln's Gettysburg speech.
Born on April 11, 1794 in Dorchester, Massachusetts. He served 5 terms as a representative in Congress and served as governor of Massachusetts from 1836 to 1840. Elected to US senate 1853 he even had a town in Massachusetts named after him. He died in 1865, aged 71.
A modern day congressman is Terry Everett, born in 1937, after serving with the air force and a career in journalism, he was elected to congress in 1992 for the Alabama seat. He currently lives in Enterprise, Alabama.
