White 50A No. 16

Number 16 was the first of three Whites the Toronto Transportation Commission bought in 1924. Three more were purchased a year later, but had bodywork constructed in the Commission's Hillcrest shops. Five other 1927-vintage 50As were on the roster, as well as three of the similar model 50B. Three of the 50As arrived from Highway Queen Bus Lines when they were taken over by the TTC in 1929, while the other two were transferred from Gray Coach Lines c. 1929, but came originally from Red Bus Lines when that company was bought out in 1929.
