"Old Look" TTC Buses

Post World War II buses were generally boxy, with small windows. With their steel framing and rivited construction, they were aptly nicknamed "tanks".
When the independent suburban bus companies were taken over in 1954, the newly-renamed Toronto Transit Commission inherited a diverse fleet of second-hand buses.
