Mr.
T is a Blue Roan, Tennessee Walker. For those of you who don't
know what a Blue Roan is - it is basically black and white hair
colors that change. In June of every year, he has turned a solid
black and as summer progresses more and more white hair show up.
This summer because of the extreme heat, we had him have a total
body clip, which means to clip off all the hair down to the skin,
except of course the mane and tail. At that point, he looked like
a dappled gray.
Mr. T belongs to my
daughter, Monica, who is pictured with him. He is a real
sweetheart. He was purchased as a pleasure horse and is Monica's
first horse. He has quite a personality. When he has done
something that he knows is not acceptable, he'll take his top lip
and squeeze it in the oddest way and instead of talking stern to
him, you have to laugh at that silly look. Monica has long since
outgrown him in her riding ability and he has become a back yard
pet and is considered retired.
