| Meryl is an insurance agent from the Bernardelli Insurance Agency. She was sent to investigate the recent catastrophic incidents caused by a gunslinger named Vash the Stampede. Meryl is very knowledgable, self-reliant and dedicated to her work. At the beginning, her character was only concerned about finishing her work assignment which is to uncover the real Vash the Stampede. However when she finally found him, she refused to believe he was the real McCoy. She thought of him as a no good lazy womanizer. As the series progress, Meryl Stryfe becomes less reserved and less absorbed in her work and instead she gradually learns to care very much about Vash. | |

Weapon: The Derringer Meryl Stryfe carries around 50 Derringers which are very small one bullet revolvers. She carries these small handguns inside her jacket/cape and uses them only for protection. Actually, Meryl only uses the derringers two or three times in the entire series. |
