5?? A Richmond Hill Transit New Flyer D40HF, one of the 511-524 series, undergoing complete refurbishing. |
1198 For some time now, Richmond Hill Transit has used one or two RTS buses for back-up service and school trippers. The primary vehicle has been number 1198, caught in the upper photo at the Yonge-Bernard terminal, with no lettering but equipped with a Richmond Hill Transit roll sign. Later, it was lettered for the system as seen in the lower photo. |
1505 Different units have been used as a second back up bus, including 1199, 1501 and 1505. The latter (on the left) is pictured here at the Richmond Hill Transit yard beside 1198, and 1501 is the one most-recently-used to my knowledge. I have been led to believe that two of the ex-Pacific Western Transportation RTS buses1198 and 1501are still being used at least occasionally. In fact, 1501 was recently at the Oshawa Haprer Diesel premises for some work, leading me to believe it is still being used for Richmond Hill as the RTSs are no longer required for airport services. |
