Gonza is the leader of Tatara Ba's men under the orders of Lady Eboshi.

He is over protective about his Lady (I think that's love, but is only an opinion ^^), overbearing and is very quick to anger. Although he thinks about himself as a serious man, sometimes he's nearly hysteric.

He also try to maintain control over people but at least Toki doesn't take him seriously. Actually, all the women in Iron Town consider him as stupid...
