ABOUT US . . . . . .

Steve Clarke . . . . . Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Steve's parents Harry and Marian Clarke moved west after WWII and settled in Oregon to pursue the economic boom in the lumber industry and make a home for their family. An almost "native Oregonian," Steve returned to his home town after high school, college, six years in the Navy as a dental technician, and a 10 year business career in sales and managment. Steve was ordained at age 40 into Christian ministry through Bible Temple in Portland, Oregon. Raised in a Roman Catholic home by a praying, "believing" mother, Steve was converted to Christ at age 26.

His new wife of only 6 months, Donna was also born of the Spirit just one day after Steve. Educated in Oregon also, trained in business, Donna has been with Douglas County Health Department for 12 years as Office Manager over 4 regional health clinics and serves as Executive Assistant at the Health Department in Roseburg, Oregon. Donna pastors and teaches a women's group that deals with abuse issues, oversees the womens' ministries, is editor of the church newsletter "Heart to Heart," and ministers in prayer and counseling in the church.

Married 27 years, Steve and Donna have 4 children (Matthew 24...away at college, Becky 21, Alicia 17, and foster daughter Tina Rogers 17). The entire family is actively immersed in a full life of ministry.

Steve has been the Senior Pastor at South Umpqua Christian Center for 14 years.

Michael and Diana Craft have been in pastoral ministry for 24 years serving churches in Santa Clara, Fresno, Irvine and Livermore California before moving to Oregon. They served as teachers and pastors on the campus of Canyonville Bible Academy, and senior pastors of the Assembly of God church in Riddle, Oregon.

They have been married for 39 years and have four children and one foster son. Their two sons and oldest daughter are in full time pastoral ministry and the others are serving the Lord as lay ministers. They have ten grandchildren and consider themselves truly blessed of the Lord with arrows in their quiver.

Michael, who holds degrees in physics and electrical engineering, is an Associate Professor at Umpqua Community College and co-pastors at South Umpqua Christian Center with Steven Clarke. Diana oversees the children's ministry and teaches a weekly women's Bible study. Both are active in counseling and the day-to-day ministry of the church.
