Fresh Turd = Quality
After filming an interview and live-acoustic performance of "Hold On" for our second appearance on "Russ’ Bar" I’ve decide to put up some pictures of the ordeal. Click the picture of us below to head on over to that. The performance will be on air on Ch.31 on Saturday the 3rd of April at 9am as, if nothing more, an advertisement for the gig we will be playing for Russ at the Espy the very next night (4/4/2004). All of these details are, as always, over at the gigs/events page.
The "Sold Out" Against the Grain EP has been reprinted and is back on the market. $10 at gigs. Write in and we can probably arrange to mail out copy. Talk of new clothing/stickers merchandise are now in the works. Prices have been investigated and decisions will soon be made. The boys didn’t go for my idea of an official Ordain g-string.
The new official Ordain site looks as good and shiny as when it began. Though, maybe it looks a little too much like it when it began. At least you can always rely on me to update the "unofficial crap" every few months. Nothing says "quality" more than unofficial, up-to-date crap.
Oh, and I almost forgot.. after months and months of the same tired question, there is finaly a new poll to vote on.
Now I can intentionally ignore your answers to a brand new question.

Adam's New ATG CD Cover
The official site is not only online, but it is actually working now. 'Bout time, but I gotta say, it was worth the wait. Click the link to it right now because it rocks.
For some REAL news though, up until now we never knew this, but Adam appears to be quite the artist in the visual field. He e-mailed me the other day with a proposal for a new inside-cover for the Against The Grain CD. Yay or nay? I'm leaning towards "yay".
Click the pic for the complete version.

Over at the pictures section you may find some new live pictures. You may also find gay-porn, but that's pretty unlikely. The new pictures are all taken from the band's 2nd trip to Mansfield's "Delatite Hotel" last week.

Standard Update
Same old updates. The gigometer, a few pictures and I've posted some details of new gigs we have lined up.
Meanwhile, what the hell is with the official site? It's still not up in its entirety yet... pft! It wont be long I hope. Take my work for it though, I've seen the prototype and it looks pretty spiffy.

Some Competition, eh?
To launch Ordain’s 2004 campaign, the official website

has finally been released. Two more weeks and it’ll be complete too. Thanks to James Macintosh, the official site’s "webmaster" for getting that going. It costs money and looks professional and doesn’t suck dick. However, if you’ve got a craving for sites that suck dick, feel free to keep coming back right here.

Records Broken Muchly
Well that’s the end of 2003 for Ordain. Scott and "Jum" are off to NZ, and Adam is off to Italy. Last Saturday’s Mansfield gig was gold and the crowd was even singing along to "Against the Grain", thanks to Bruce whoring out our CD to everybody in town. Nice work. Expect another Mansfield excursion sometime in early February and come on out if you are into those "non-empty-room" type gigs.
The band broke a record by selling the most CDs we ever have at a single gig and Jim broke a record for how many "stick-drops" he managed. He only dropped his sticks 0.091 times per song. Let’s not forget Scott’s new record of only smacking into other people on stage 320 million times! Well done all-round, lads!
So what are all the Ordain enthusiasts to do now that the band is on a break? Gaze longingly at this great picture of Adam of course! Adam is just the way we like him here... embossed.

The Last Time, Fool!
Check out the new pics. I'm sorry they all look a little pixelated, but that can't be helped for now.
Our last gig for the year is this Saturday. Come/don't come. Whatever. Just don't complain to me when you are forced to watch quality TV on Sat' night, rather than driving 2.5 hours to Mansfield.

Download "Against'"
With the Ordain Network being hosted on a free service, "Angelfire", we are restricted in what we can put online. One thing they stop us doing is uploading mp3s because they simply take up too much space. That sort of sucks, considering we are a band and its all about the music. Thankfully, it’s been brought to my attention that hosting for one of our tracks (Against The Grain) was provided by JJJ a while back when they were running their Unearthed competition. For the few of you out there who don’t have any recorded version of the track feel free to cruise here to get it. JJJ has also put up a small band bio that was written by Scott a while back.

Vintage Clintage
Over the few days since the last news item, I have been inundated with questions concerning this mysterious “Clint” character. Actually, two people asked me who Clint was, which doubles the record of our second most frequently asked question (is matt single and will he make babies with me?). For those who have just tuned in, a recent OrdNet poll asked visitors which specialty of the Ordain members they would prefer to possess. The obvious options were the skills of the 5 Ordain members that we all know and love. However, mysteriously a 6th option appeared; this option was that of “Clint’s super-unicorn powers”.
“Some” people say that a picture speaks louder than a thousand words. Then again, “some” people think “Monk” is a respectable comedy/crime show worthy of my attention. These people will be punished accordingly in due time.
What was I talking about again? Oh that’s right... Pictures! Well, here is the only picture of Clint I could find. Hopefully this will put all “Clint-related” queries to rest.

Australia is King
My mistake. The official website is really going to be at “ordainnet.com”. It’s still not done yet, so just keep waiting.
There’s a new poll up. Just so nobody’s alarmed, Clint isn’t really a member of the band, but he did produce the majority of Ordain’s recordings that are currently available for sale. He possesses super-unicorn powers, and I think that’s pretty cool. I’d want that.
The very-neglected gigometer has finally been updated upon the requests of Scott and Adam. The discography has also been updated with prices and the availability status of various releases as well as a new page devoted to the new EP we started selling back on the 26th of September.
This week the band looks to be increasing its “covers” catalogue by 600% in preparation for what’s shaping up to be our last gig before 3/5ths of us head out of the country until late February 2004. Bruce and I would rather be in Australia anyway because.. yeah.

Ordain on TV & New Site
A few new practice pictures are up.
Last Tuesday the band played acoustic versions of "Never" and "Broken Glass" for the channel 31 Australian music television show "Russ’ Bar". A brief interview with the band and the acoustic "Never" will be screened at 9am on Saturday on one of the next few programs. We don’t know which. Who’s going to get up to watch it anyway. And for that matter, who even reads this shit that I type? Huh? I’ll tell you who. Nobody.
To cater for our huge following, here at the Ordain Network, the band has decided to start up an additional website. Brilliant idea, boys!
The new website will be at ordain.com.au, but don’t bother trying yet, as work on it has only just begun. This will serve at the "official Ordain site" and unlike like OrdainNet, it will not feature any good stuff, i.e. fart jokes and unnecessary fucking swearing.

An update? About fucking time
I've just put up a discography section, some new pictures and there is a new poll concerning the greatness of Ordain.
While updates of ORDnet's framework/layout are rare, I update the upcoming events page regularly, so check back to it if you're interested in coming down to the odd gig.

ORDnet Launches
Welcome to the official launch of the officially unofficial Ordain website: “OrdainNet”. As the official Ordain site is in the workings, “Ordnet” will be the premier online location for all the best Ordain info and hard-core pornography. We hope you join us on a regular basis as we attempt to inform and entertain. Occasionally we will simultaneously inform and entertain such as with the following statement:
Mansfield is very far from the Melbourne CBD.
This is both “fact” and “amusing”. Success! If you have not already done so, it is advised that you read the disclaimer carefully before moving on to other parts of the site.
