INSEED General Information and Mission Statement.
Web address: https://www.angelfire.com/pa/INSEED/
Who we are...
We are a voluntary organisation with the objective to set up and run environment-oriented
development projects throughout the world planned and implemented by the students.
In the start, administrative core and the first chapter of INSEED was based in Liverpool,
but our vision being global one (UK, US, Japnese, Middle East and Indian chapters are operational), each country has now its own headquarter and core of activity being co-ordinated from India and UK.INSEED aims to represent more and more students into its operations all across the world.
The role of the chapters within INSEED is to provide a base for project planning, implementation and fund-raising activities. The volunteers of the projects INSEED will run will also be drawn from the chapters.
If you are interested in finding out the details of the nearest chapter to you, or wish to begin your own chapter, please see our contact details at the bottom of the page.
OUR MISSION STATEMENT...
Our aim is
- to provide a unique oppotunity for students of Universities, colleges and
schools to involve themselves in international research projects in the
developing world during their electives, summers or gap years on the
themes of environment, education and development. The students from developing nations may be sent for the purpose of exchanging and strengthening multi-lateral bonding amongst the students.
Our vision is
- to become a leading, innovative and truly international organisation
pooling the best of youth and non-youth resouces for issues of integrated
community development by giving special recognition to the fact that our
approach will thoroughly conform to the cultural ethos and beliefs of
the target communities.
Our constant value in an ever-changing world is based on
- non-confrontational interventions devised with the active involvement
of the target community so as to enable and empower the communities to
undertake issues of self-regeneration after the completion of the projects.
Our commitment is
- that all our collaborative and contributary organisations must conform to
our ethical policy.
Our ambition is
- to foster equity partnership amongst students, NGOs, and other
organisations drawn from the developing and developed world.
