A campaign, popularly called SOFI or "Strengthening Organic Farming Initiative", is jointly sponsored by number of participating organisations.

The convenor of the campaign, Dr Jag Rawat, described that "this initiative primarily would work to locate those regions of the world where organic farming has not still given way due to lack of resources of the peasants to purchase chemicals, pesticides and fertilisers. Success in the primary aim would lead to provision of competitive prices for the produce of such peasants from commercial organisations which are or are likely to join our initiative".

We welcome other voluntary organisations to become part of our initiative and work for creation of an 'International Centre of Organic Farming Research'
