KEEPING IT REAL

October 10, 2002

It has been a long time since I have penned a column for PWFprowrestling.com. Not as long as Steve Corino's hiatus, but a long time none the less. As many of you now, I spend a great deal of time updating the site, bringing you all the latest in PWF news. In the near future, the bios section will be overhauled, and there will be some exciting additions to the site. But before all of that happens, it is time for me to look at the going ons in the company. Without further ado, here is the latest edition of Keeping It Real.

ZERO GRAVITY IS THIS SUNDAY!

I can't believe that it has been a month already since the Legacy Cup 2002. That night was filled with great action, but I believe that we will outdo ourselves this coming Sunday night. Why? Because the stakes in the PWF have never been higher.

By now everyone knows that Zero-One superstars Shinjiro Ohtani and Masato Tanaka will be coming to the PWF on Sunday night, November 10th. Also making the trip across the Pacific will be representatives from the Zero-One promotion. Every single wrestler knows that tapes of the PWF events go directly to Japan. Among the fraternity of professional wrestlers, there is one common goal that signifies success...working in Japan. With Zero-One, one of the most respected promotions in the world, keeping an eye on the PWF talent, everyone will turn their game up a notch. Matches that were guaranteed to be good now have every chance of being great. Can you imagine people like Jay Briscoe or Quiet Storm turning up the intensity level? The action is going to be insane. It is going to be a very important night in the history of the Premier Wrestling Federation. Please, don't email me after you read the results and say "I should have went to the show." The Eagles are off...the Sopranos are replayed on Monday night...the time for excuses has come and gone...get yourself to Academy Hall and be a part of wrestling history.

NEW TAG TEAM BELTS TO BE UNVEILED

I have seen the new belts, and believe me when I say they will be the most coveted pieces of tag-team gold on the East Coast. Their elegant look will add more prestige to an already important title. Add in the fact that the winner of the title match between The S.A.T. and Corino & Anderson goes on to face Ohtani & Tanaka, and this is quite possibly the biggest match in our promotion's history. I for one feel that The S.A.T. hold the advantage in this one, as they have the luxury of already being the champions. They don't have to pin Steve or C.W. to walk away with the belts. This one will be interesting.

PWF TO MAKE READING DEBUT NOVEMBER 1st

I could not be more excited about making our Reading debut at the legendary Riverside Beneficial Association, located on Pear St., just 1 block from the Reading Phillies stadium. Many thanks go to IWA Championship Wrestling, who have run this building for years, and have graciously allowed us to use it as well. It will be an intimate affair at the Riverside…so make sure to get your tickets as soon as possible (Why not this Sunday at Zero Gravity?)! We will be announcing the lineup in the next few days, but already signed to appear are hometown favorites "Doomsday" Danny Rose and Rapid Fire Maldonado, as well as "The King of Old School" Steve Corino. It is hard to believe that Maldonado is loved anywhere, but the fans in Reading really support their local products. Also, just announced, a 15-man Battle Royal, with the winner to face "Hi Flyin" Chris Hamrick for the PWF Universal Heavyweight title later in the evening. That is of course if Hamrick can get by legend Ricky Morton this Sunday. I can't wait to see that one, as Morton is one of the most popular wrestlers of all time, and is respected by everyone in every locker room across the country. Getting back to Rage in Reading, don't forget that you can also get tickets at our outlets, Beer Mart and Creative Conversion Express. See the main page of the site for more details.

Whew, that is the most I have typed in one shot in a long, long time. I will be back in the near future, as there will be several big announcements concerning the PWF. I will see you all this Sunday!
