Our names are Gene and Gigi Haag. Cabincoon Cattery is located in Quakertown, Southeastern Pennsylvania (between Allentown & Philadelphia).
Our cattery name was derived from the fact we lived in a log cabin, hence the name "Cabincoon".
We have always been animal
lovers and fell in love with Maine Coons aka
"Gentle Giants" many years ago. We have been showing/breeding since 1997. They are one of the largest and
oldest natural breed of cats. They have incredible personalities and
are very hardy, outgoing, affectionate, loyal, playful, people and
animal oriented. They are lap kitties and love snuggling, sleeping and
being with their humans. Cabincoon Maine Coons are lovingly home raised
pure bred pedigreed cats and kittens - our priority is to breed for
health, beauty and sweet, loving temperaments - as family companions or
beautiful show cats. Maine coons are available in
a variety of colors (including solid) and
come in either Classic (swirls) or mackerel (tiger striped) patterns.
We
are
small hobby breeders and WE DO
NOT OFFER STUD SERVICE OR SELL BREEDING CATS.
Our cattery is registered in the Cat Fanciers Assocation (CFA), The
International Cat Association (TICA), American Cat Fanciers Association
(ACFA) and Cat Fanciers Federation (CFF). We enjoyed showing exclusively
in CFA. We are active members of the CFA Maine Coon Breed
Council and The Maine Coon Cat Club.

Our
cats love being in their 18'x24' sunroom, albeit; taking
naps, playing or watching the wild life outdoors. They enjoy and
benefit from plenty of fresh air and sun light without encountering the
dangers of roaming free.
Our
Golden Retriever and two Long coated Chihuahua's help us raise and
socialize the kittens.They
get along great and love playing and snuggling together.
Disclaimer:We
test our cats for FeLV,
FIV, parasites and for
Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM). Even though we test our cats, No Breeder can guarantee their cats will never
develop HCM. HCM is not only a genetic disease, but can be caused by other illnesses. However, we are dedicated in the effort to produce healthy
Maine Coons. HCM is no more prevalent in Maine Coons than other breeds.
