From
the day Koti was born we knew he was going to be a special cat and to
this day he ceases to prove us wrong. Koti is a very heavy
boned
cat with an enormous head and huge boxy muzzle and chin. His
color is the deepest mahogany red we have seen in our years of breeding
Maine Coons and he is of course our pride and joy. With his
giant
"pumpkin" headbutts and purrs, he has managed to capture all of our
hearts. As of May 2008 Koti was retired and in his glory sleeping in bed with us, under the covers, wrapped in our arms with his head on our pillows, and getting hundreds of kisses.
He sure is our Special Son!

****CFA's Show Key For Class and Titles****
Kitten Class (K)- A kitten can compete from 4 to 8 months of age
Open Championship (OC)- After completing kitten class & is 8 mos of age. A cat in Open class has to successfully beat 6 other Open cats in the same breed, color and class. When awarded 6 winners ribbons the cat becomes a Champion
Champion (CH)- Once a Champion, the cat can compete against all other champions for Grand Champion Status
Grand Champion (GC)- A Champion cat needs to successfully beat 200 All breed Champion cats to be awarded the Grand Champion Title
Open Premiership Class (OP)- After completing kitten class, is neutered/spayed and is 8 mos of age. A cat in Open class has to successfully beat 6 other Open cats in the same breed, color and class. Once awarded 6 winners ribbons the cat becomes a Premier
Premier (PR)- 8 months and older - Once a Premier, the cat can compete against all other Premiers for Grand Premier Status
Grand Premier (GP)- A Premier cat needs to successfully beat 75 All breed Premier cats to be awarded the Grand Premier Title
Breed Winner (BW)- Is awarded to the highest scoring Championship Cat Nationally in his/her specific breed, ie; Best Maine Coon, Best Persian etc.
Regional Winner (RW)- Is awarded to each of the 25 highest scoring All breed cats in Championship, Kitten class or Premiership in its designated registered region. Regions 1-8
National Winner (NW) - Is awarded to each of the 25 highest scoring All breed cats in Championship, Kitten class or Premiership Nationally (total of all regions)
Distinguished Merit (DM)- Is awarded to a Male who has Sired (produced) 15 Grand Champion cats or Female who has Queened (produced) 5 Grand Champion cats
CFA's show season begins on May 1st and ends April 30th of each year.
