History of the Beaver JROTC 

 

The Beaver Area JROTC patch


The Beaver Area JROTC Patch is made up of a lot of symbols. The maroon and gray colors are the colors of the school and stand for tradition and honor. The fortification depicts Fort McIntosh, a historical frontier outpost indigenous to the area. The Arrow indicates its value its value as protection against the warring Native Americans. The designation band symbolizes the Ohio river and the geographic locale. The "A" interlocked with the arrow point indicates the desire of the cadets to be number one and uphold their historical nickname as "1st American Regiment."



History of the JROTC Program


The Beaver JROTC Program was initialized in 1995. The program has earned "Honor Unit with Distinction" for each of the formal inspections that it was involved in. The Beaver Area JROTC program is a continually upgrading program. All the cadets work together to make the program even better than the preceding year.
