The 1994 Daimler-Chrysler L.H.S., had a number of mechanical failures which have made this car dangerous to operate. The Daimler - Chrysler Co. has refused to fix the six different problems.
He found that nothing was wrong with the car - yet the
car was undrivable ( the Gears failing, the motor kept running, high acceleration
of motor)
He was the next inspector who had come to the home of Mr.Vaughn, in February after the car had again malfunctioned in October. Again nothing is wrong with the car.
He came to Grindstaff Inc. after Ronnie Davis, Suprervisor, Grindstaff, Inc. had driven the car. The Harness Wiring was inspected and Mr. Spence states in his report that the Harness Wiring probably should have been replaced.
He received a call from Tony DeBender, Assistant to Susan Cishke of Safety and Compliance and he reported to him that he had found problems with the Transmissions and Gears! Again, Chrysler gave no orders and did nothing. Nothing is wrong with the car. Mr. Ronnie Davis Test Drove the car and found problems with the Transmission and Alternator of the L.H.S.
NHTSA mailed a letter mandating
for Chrysler to fix the problems! Neither Mr. Grindstaff not Mr. Vaughn
ever heard from Chrysler. Mr. Alberto Jimenez, Chief of NHTSA was notified
that Chrysler ignored and defied a Mandate from the Federal Government
of NHTSA. There have been a total of four recalls of this car! |
