~ Dreams ~

I see a child standing in a doorway,

tears streaming down her cheeks.

I see bruises and marks on her body,

left by an adult that lost control.

My heart is breaking for this child.

And then I wake up.

I see an old man in a grocery store.

He looks at the price of a gallon of milk,

which he gently put back on the shelf.

A choice must be made every month,

on what food is bought or medicine that is not.

I feel that stab of pain in my heart again.

And then I wake up.

I see a run down house that looks abandoned,

but inside is a mother who is fast losing hope.

Money is to little from her part-time job:

will her children go hungry this week?

Will there future be to repeat this cycle?

That familiar pain again in my chest.

And then I wake up.

I see my father lying in his deathbed.

The cancer has finally won the battle.

I kneel on the floor with my cheek to his hand,

begging God to be merciful and end his pain.

As he struggles for his last fleeing breath,

it feels like my heart is ripped from my chest.

And then I wake up.

A beautiful child smiles and waves at me,

from the doorway of a house filled with love.

I see a world that no longer ignores the elderly:

that seeing to there needs is an honor not a burden.

I see a happy mother who is making fair wages,

taking care of and providing a future for her children.

I see my father up in heaven, his body healed,

He smiles to let me know he is waiting for me.

I sleep peaceful this night.

~God's Promise~

God didn't promise days without pain,

laughter without sorrow or sun without rain.

But God did promise strengh for the day,

comfort for the tears and a light for the way.

And for all who beleive in His kindom above,

He answers their faith with everlasting love.

Do Not Weep For Me.

Do Not Stand By My Grave And Weep
I Am Not Dead,I Do Not Sleep.

I Am A thousand Winds That Blow,
I Am A Diamond Glint On Snow.

I Am The Sunset On Ripened Grain,
I Am The Gentle Autumn Rain.

When You Awake In The Autumn Hush,
I Am The Swift Uplifting Rush.

Of Quiet Birds In Circling Flight,
I Am The Soft Starshine At Night.

Do Not Stand By My Grave And

Cry,
I Am Not There,I Did Not Die.

~Angels~

Have you ever heard the angel cry?

Like a weeping willows sigh?

Listen closely dusk till dawn,

As the mist flies on the lawn.

They will keep us from all harm,

Wrapping us in their protecting arms.

Have you ever felt the angels cry?

When the rain begins to die?

Mist and fog hide their faces,

Weeping in all the worlds places.

They will keep us from all harms,

Wrapping us with their protecting arms.

Have you ever heard the angels and their voices?

Asking each other about their choices?

Whether to go farther and farther away or.....

Keeping us from all the world's harm,

Wrapping us in their protecting arms.

~Did You ?~

Dis you think it was to be an ordinary day

The day God came to earth and took you away?

Did you see the other car and realize your fate

but know what you had realized it too late?

Did you have a last thought of a loved one or friend

or did you even know that it was the end?

Did you know how many people would cry tears for you

or how many people would pray a prayer or two?

Did you know how much I'd miss you when you did die?

If you don't, then let me tell you.......

Neither Did I.

This is dedicated to my friend Cassidy Powell

who was killed on April 15th in a head on

collision at the age of 17.

~A Tear~

It starts as a memory or a thought from the past

In time gone forever in a dream you can't grasp.

Alone in your heart but containe by your soul,

Unleashed by emotion from your eye it will flow.

It falls in total silent as everyone before,

It lands next to your feelings as it crashes to the floor.

~As Lightning Lights~

As lightning lights my neighbourhood sky,

I think ao the reason and begin ti cry,

For those who have died to save all of us,

It must have been hard, it must have been tough,

I realy thank thee, you gave your life so that we could be free.

~Golden Heart~

(for my Pop-Pop)

God saw you getting tired

and a cure was not meant to be,

So he put his arms around you

and whispered "Come to Me".

With tearfull eyes we watched you,

as we saw you pass away.

Although we loved you deeply,

we could not make you stay.

Your Golden Heart stopped beating,

hard working hands at rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us,

He only takes the best.

~If I Could~

If I could turn the hand of time,

I would change so many thing.

I would tell my family how much I care,

and with them, my love I would share.

I wouldn't smoke or drink,

My life would've have been better don't you think

I woulds't be lying here on the ground

with my pulse nowhere to be found,

I have this one last thing to say,

make th right choice today.

~Beleive~

God from a haven, I cannot see.

I sure not sure If I beleive in thee.

A booming voice from abouve.

An unseen force that shows us love.

Are you there? Are you there with me?

Or are things not as they appears to be?

And God one question that I may ask.

So I can rest my task.

You who controls the earth and the sea.

Do you beleive in me?

~ I Laid A Prayer For You Today ~

I said a prayer for you today

And know God must have heard.

I felt the answer in my heart

Although he spoke no word!

I didn't ask for wealth or fame

(I knew you wouldn't mind)

I asked that He'd be near you

At the start of each new day

To grant you Health and Blessing

and Friends to share your way!

I asked for happiness for you

in all the things great and small.

But it was for His loving care

I prayed the most of all!
