Ch 23.

Row 1:  BAS.

Row 2:  BAS.

Row 3:  BAS.

Row 4:  Sk first bar, draw up lp on hook, sk first bar, draw up lp in each of next 3 bars; (refer to below):

* bring yarn to FRONT of work and hold yarn below the row you are working in; (insert hook in next bar, yo, draw up lp) 3 times (3 Purl (p) sts made). Take yarn to BACK and draw up lp in each of next 3 bars; Rep from * across; end draw up lp in last 4 bars.

Rows 5 and 6:  Rep row 4.

Row 7:  Sk first bar, *bring yarn to FRONT and work p sts in each of next 3 bars; take yarn to BACK and draw up lp in each of next 3 bars. Rep from * across row; end row with 3 p sts. Take yarn to BACK and draw up lp in last bar.

Rows 8 and 9:  Rep Row 7.
