PGSM - Act Twenty-Nine

The girls are having a Welcome Home party for Ami in their room at Crown - complete with streamers and confetti
Everybody is happy that they're together.
Now it's time for karaoke. Usagi and Ami grab microphones and start singing C'est La Vie - what else? As Makoto, Rei and Luna dance and eat strawberries.

Meanwhile, in a nice trasition, C'est La Vie is on the radio in the car that Minako is in with her manager.
He has bad news for her - she didn't get the commercial spot she went for. Someone else got it.
It seems that Minako has a rival - a new up and coming idol: Kuroki Mio.
For some reason, this worries Minako

We cut to a photo shoot, with an unfamilar girl wearing a light blue dress surrounded by bubbles.

Theme song - the traditional one again. This episode isn't as special as the last one.

Today the Tsukino family is having squid and kimchi omelets. Yum.
As they're setting the table, an announcement for the new idol Kuroki Mio comes on. It's big news that she's endorsing Goo Morning Tea.
Shingo thinks that she's cute, but Usagi is loyal to Minako. Her mother sides with her on this one.
Shingo argues that she's done more commercials than Minako.
Usagi flips the channel.
It's a news report from London... the report isn't important, but it sends Usagi to thinking about Mamoru...

It's raining in London. But someone is outside of Mamoru's apartment, calling for him to join them for breakfast...
In rather over-expressive English.
Mamoru gets up and gets dressed. He's mostly dressed when he sees Zoisite playing the piano in a mirror.
Zoisite tells him that he can't run from his past life, even if he is on the other side of the world. Mamoru is still himself, but he is also Endymion.

Kunzite comes in while Zoisite's playing. He tells him it would be better to just let Mamoru live and die without knowing anything about his past life. There are bad memories in the past...
Zoisite reminds Kunzite that once, Kunzite was the most loyal of the shitennou. Kunzite cryptically responds that he still is.

Beryl hears Zoisite playing as well, and her eyes are on an image of Mamoru in London. She sees that one day, they will rule the world... she is going to find him.
Jadiete comes in and reports that things are going fine... She has given him more power and he's not having any adverse effects.

Kuroki Mio is all over the school. Literally. As Usagi walks to school with her friends she sees posters of the new idol everywhere.
But they still like Minako the best.

In class, their teacher is combining an English lesson with introducing a new student. (And for some odd reason, a helicopter is passing over head)
The new student is - Kuroki Mio! (for some reason, Mio has to go to school, even though Minako doesn't).
There's a stunned silence for a moment, and then most of the girls start screaming. During lunch, lots of girls are crowding around her desk, asking for Mio's autograph.

Usagi and Ami aren't in the group.
Naru is hesitant, but when their teacher pulls out a camera, she rushes over to join the picture.

Ami says that even though Mio is Minako's rival, she is their classmate so they have to be nice to her.
It's rather nice having practical Ami back.

In gym class, they are playing volleyball.
True to form, Ami isn't playing.
The two teams agree to have a good game, and then they begin.
Usagi is on one team, Mio is on another.
Mio makes a spectacular spike, hitting the ball hard into Usagi and knocking her to the ground.
Ami is the only one who is more concerned about Usagi. The others are too busy congratulating Mio.

Usagi gets to her feet, rolls up her sleeves and looks more determined. She's not losing to Minako's rival.
She nearly strikes her Make Up pose during the game.
Mio's team is winning, and it almost seems like she's targeting Usagi with the ball on purpose.
On both sides of the net, they jump for the ball, and while Usagi and Mio are close together, Mio kicks Usagi in the leg, and then pretends that it was an accident.
Ami saw what really happened though. Mio hasn't made a friend with Sailor Mercury - that's for sure.

Luna-the-girl flashes her passport to Motoki, but he keeps telling her that she's too young to come in on her own.
While they're in the middle of an argument about if she's little or not, Makoto and Ami enter.
Luna tells the girls that she has her passport, but Kamekichi won't let her in.
Motoki tries to correct her. His name is Motoki. Kamekichi is his turtle.
Then Makoto flashes him a smile

Usagi is sore from the volleyball game. She's on her way home, when someone calls her name.
It's Mio in a silly hat.

Minako is finding out that Mio goes to Juuban Middle School as she enters a photoshoot.

Mio and Usagi are at a park. Mio asks Usagi if she hates her... and then she starts to cry.
Usagi says that she doesn't hate Mio. Not really.
Mio then asks if Usagi will be her friend.

Usagi says that the reason she has been so cold to Mio is because she's a die-hard Aino Minako fan... but since they're in the same class, sure they can be friends.
Mio asks if she can start calling her Usagi-chan, and Usagi agrees.
This makes Mio very happy, but Usagi feels guilty.

Rei enters Crown to see something very strange. Ami and Makoto are trying to catch little bits of paper with chopsticks.
It's special training, apparently.
Ami says that she vaguely remembers doing something like this once before.

Luna hands Rei some red chopsticks. Rei regards the red floating bits of paper, and then reaches out and snatches on out of the air. It's hard to say which of the three girls is more surprised.

Artemis comes running in through a cat-door in the door. He says he has a message from Venus - not to trust the new idol Kruoki Mio.
Artemis says that Minako is worried.
Rei realizes a bit late that they haven't told Ami who Venus is... well now she knows.
Usagi is the only one that doesn't know yet. They figure she'll freak out.

Mio asks Usagi if she has a boyfriend. Usagi admits that she has someone that she likes... And she starts to describe Mamoru.
But when she says that she thinks she knew Mamoru from a long long time ago, Mio crushes her ice cream cone in her hand.

While Mio is washing the ice cream off her hands, Usagi hears a scream, and she hurries off to get it.
She sees a youma doing it's usual job of terrorizing people.
Mio lets out a scream and grabs Usagi's arms
The youma blasts at them and Usagi pushes her out of the way, but in the fall, Mio hurts her wrist.

Usagi helps Mio up and hurries off with her, the youma in calm pursuit.
They end up in the building that all of the fight scenes take place in and Usagi tells Mio to hide.

The youma is terrorizing other people. They are probably scared of it's glowing hat.
Mars turns up and blasts it with fire. The fire doesn't have too much effect, and neither does water or lightening, as Mercury and Jupiter discover.
So they resort to the old stand by of confusing it with cartwheels.
They try their tambourines which is when they notice that the youma is able to use it's cape as a shield.
Once they figure that out, the youma winds them up in spider webs. They politely wait to be tied up.

Usagi runs up the stairs, sees her friends, and Makes Up properly.
She uses her boomerang to cut the web around her friends. Mercury tells her that they have to combine their powers.
Moon raises her wand and the other three join their tambourines together when the youma blasts Mercury's out of her hand.
Water power comes from Mercury's hand, and she grabs the star tambourine, holding it just long enough for Sailor Luna to catch it in a net.
Mercury has discovered a deeper power within her.

Sailor Luna uses her Luna Sugary Candy attack to blast the youma into position in front of the girls, and they try to attack together once again.
They are able to do the Moonlight Attractive Attack without Venus, although the bow that they form only has three colors this time.
The youma explodes.

After a quick scene change, Usagi bandages Mio's wrist.
Rei thinks that Mio doesn't look that suspicious at all.

But, the next day, Ami and Naru intercept Usagi before she rushes all the way into class.
Mio has her wrist over-bandaged - and she told everyone that Usagi hurt her.
