We can and do work
throughout the world. We have successfully completed assignments in
Russia, Brazil, Ghana, Israel, Cote d'Ivoire, Cameroon, and the Dominican
Republic. We have a relationship with the United Nations and with WANGO - the World Association of Non-Governmental Agencies.
Professional grantwriting services can be expensive, especially for
organizations located in developing countries. Here's how we can
make them affordable:
We can train your own people - staff or volunteers -on how to win
grant funding from governmental agencies or private foundations. We
will come to your location for anywhere from a day to a month and
show you how the grantmaking world works.
We have three modules:
-
How to think about your
project - (the seven questions you need to answer).
-
How to find the best
funder for your project.
-
How to write a
compelling, successful proposal.
We can deliver this package
in a day, but for best results, you
should allow a full week. Each
topic will be presented over a day's time, with opportunities for
hands-on experience and questions and answers. The rest of the week
can be used to work with people on real projects for which they are
seeking funding.
We also have a program on how to conceptualize and write an
evaluation
plan that helps you to win the grant. Poor evaluation plans - required by most funders -are the downfall of more good projects
than any other cause. We can also show you how to evaluate your
project in a way that enables it to reach peak effectiveness.
Each of these workshops is accompanied by a compelling PowerPoint
presentation and by handouts that enable participants to grasp key
concepts.
Our fee for training is $1,500 for the first day and $1,200 for each
additional day, plus actual travel expenses. We do not charge for
travel time, and will go to the ends of the Earth to work with you.
If you are not extremely rushed, we will provide grantwriting
services at a 50% discount from our normal rates. We can do this
because our peak domestic grantwriting is concentrated in a few
months each year, generally from February to June. Work contracted
during our busy months will be deferred until we have the ability to
make your job our priority. Usually, the deferment will be for three
months or less, and the longest you will ever be asked to wait is
six
months.
Our typical fees are $10,000 to $12,000 for large U.S. government
grants and $3,000 to $5,000 for grants submitted to major
foundations. With the deferred work option, your fees would be half
of those amounts, yet you are assured of the same high level of
performance.
