Final Fantasy X-2 is the first direct sequel to a Final Fantasy! Final Fantasy X-2 is set 2 years after the events of Final Fantasy X. It follows Yuna on her quest, but this time its different. Yuna has changed from the innocent summoner to a juvenile gunner. Now that the Yevon religion is gone, machina (machines) are no longer forbidden. She is now a "sphere hunter". As a sphere hunter she goes around the world searching for "spheres" which hold memories. Yuna is searching for what happened to Tidus after Sin was gone. She is joined by Rikku, the spunky thief from FFX and Paine a gothic girl who wields a sword. They use the Celcius airship in order to travel around the world. Their rival sphere hunters is led by LeBlanc. Final Fantasy X-2 will also feature the job system. This allows the characters to change jobs, from gunner, thief, white mage, black mage and many other occupations. Final Fantasy X-2 has already been released in Japan and is scheduled for release in North America in late 2003.
