Jesse is the only female of the three, and the least is known about her. She came from a poor family, and her mother obviously tried to make her childhood more enjoyable, like the treats she made out of snow mentioned in the episode "Snow way out". She is a bit jealous of her partner James's rich upbringing. Her mother was a rocket member, about the same rank as Cassidy. Her name was Miyamoto. She was mentioned on the Cd Drama "The Birth of Mewtwo." She attended Pokemon Tech, even though it was a school for rich kids, and her future looked hopeful until she stayed up late the night before exams and flunked out with the lowest scores in the school's history. From there she joined a biker gang on Bridge street with James, whom she met at the academy. She was known as "Chainer Jess", due to the chain she used to swing, or just "Big Jess".

She was supposedly recruited by Team Rocket directly from the biker gang, but they seemed suprised that their former gang members were now in Team Rocket, so who knows? Was this a plot hole, or was there another reason for leaving the gang? In Team Rocket she was partnered with James and Meowth, where she started her quest for money, power, and rare Pokemon. Perhaps she strives so hard for money and power to make up for the riches she never had as a child. Jesse is a much better trainer than most give her credit. She beat everyone except Misty in the Princess day battle with only 2 poison types and 2 normal types. Her Arbok beat 2 Eevee evolutions, even beating a Jolteon. (How come Ash couldn't with an Arbok?) She's very violent towards humans, and could easily be called the leader of the trio. Occasionally, she shows her softer side, such as rescuing James from the ghost of Maiden's peak, or when she and James helped Meowth in "Go West, Young Meowth".
