Topic: Aaron Carter Album Review

As the brother of the Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter, it's little wonder that 10-year-old Aaron Carter is a preteen dream come true. He's like a member of Hanson blessed with Backstreet blood. Unfortunately, he's not quite as charismatic as either act, nor does he have the memorable pop gems that both groups have. As a result, his eponymous debut album is pure teen dance-pop product -- it has the sound and the look, but not the flair. Preteens will love it, but it doesn't have an "MMMBop" or "Where is the Love" or "Quit Playing Games with My Heart" to make it cross over into the mainstream audience.

AMG Rating: 2.5 Stars
