[In this article, it says Aaron's debut album when it's meant to be his sophomore album Aaron's Party]

Unless you have children under age 12, you may not know this, but everybody wants to party with Aaron Carter and it's easy to see why.

Not only is the teen pop sensation as cute as they come, but he's got plenty of cheerful charm. If a recent interview is any indication, the 13-year-old singer is just a really nice kid with an upbeat personality to go along with his huge success.

Aaron appears live in concert on Tuesday at the Centroplex in a 7:30 p.m. show that also features The A*Teens and Carter's sister Leslie.

Aaron is seen regularly on Nickelodeon and the Disney Channel singing recent hits like "I Want Candy," "That's How I Beat Shaq," "Bounce" and "Real Good Time" from his multiplatinum debut CD Aaron's Party (Come Get It). The CD went to number 4 on the Billboard charts and introduced his catchy tunes to an audience of young children who became instant fans.

What parents may not know (but kids definitely do) is that Aaron is the younger brother of Nick Carter, one of the Backstreet Boys. In other words, there was never any question he'd follow in his big brother's dancin' shoes.

"I started performing when I was about two," Aaron said. "By the time I was six, I was the lead singer for a band that played in coffeehouses and places like that. My brother was just getting started with the Backstreet Boys at the time and I just knew I wanted to do the same thing."

His summer tour won't end until August 30, and though he finds it exciting as well as exhausting, he's looking forward to taking a much-needed break.

"When I'm not touring, my hobbies are pretty simple," he said. "I like to ride dirt bikes and I love driving my boat. I can't wait to get home." (Carter grew up in Tampa and now lives in the Florida Keys.)

Not many kids his age are as career-oriented as Aaron is, but he somehow keeps it all in perspective. When asked how he prepares for his concerts, he says, "Would you believe I pray? I pray before every single concert."

In spite of that innocent look, Aaron can seem practically grown up. He knows kids look up to him and that many of them dream of the same kind of success he enjoys. So he offers this advice: "Stay focused on whatever your dream is. Work hard at whatever you do, but try to have fun at the same time."

Tuesday night's pre-teen crowd won't be looking for advice, however. They will be shaking their booties to Aaron's spirited mix of pop, soul, R&B, rap, salsa and reggae.

Considering the age demographics, Aaron's will likely be the first concert many local children have ever attended.

Talk about a party they'll never forget ...
