Wilderness Everywhere

Denali, "the High One". On our drive from Anchorage to Fairbanks we stop at one of the road side viewpoints to see Mount McKinley. The highest peak in North America, the mountain stands 20,320 feet above sea level.

Beauty is everywhere. From the marshy moose stream along the Denali Highway to the almost hidden red flora in the shade of Arctic Black Spruce forests, our eyes feast on the vividness of Life.

Wildlife is everywhere. Just when John thought he could have a private moment to answer Nature's call, out comes a moose to cross the open meadow about 150 yards to his left front. Unfortunately, he was holding the wrong gun.
