A $2.50 service charge is applied for orders under $25.00. This charge is
NOT for shipping and handling, but helps defray the cost of packing and
shipping small orders. You must still add shipping costs to your order.
All shipping companies, including UPS, favor larger orders. In other
words, a small order costs relatively more to ship than a big order. Our
"Flat Freight" rates mirror actual rates; therefore, orders
under $25.00 utilizing UPS will be charged a flat $6.50 for shipping,
reflecting the average actual shipping costs for orders under $25.00.
Global Specialty Products' shipping rates were designed to be as
reasonable for our customers as possible. The flat shipping rates we
charge are based on the cost of your order and the destination zone.
How can I have an order rush-shipped?
Rates are higher for DHL Rush Service, USPS Post Office boxes, and all
shipments outside the continental U.S. Therefore, we encourage customers
to avoid using rush service and have goods shipped to a physical address
rather than a P.O. Box whenever possible, to minimize freight costs.
Why is there a service charge of $2.50 for orders
under $25.00, if you’re also charging $6.50 for freight on the same
order?
The one charge has nothing to do with the other. The $6.50 is the cost
for shipping, and the $2.50 is a handling charge to account for the fact
that small orders incur a relatively much higher cost for us to fill.
