Dr. Naomi Hunter, was brought on a specialitsy in medical treatement and chemical assesment(I believe). She is the one who injects snake with his nanomachines, and a serume that both lowers the stomach acid (so Snake won't starve) and makes him more toleratable of the cold. Although, during her time before this mission, she is the one who initially created Foxdie, and made Solid Snake the carrier. Her original intent was to kill Solid Snake, and Liquid Snake, due to Solid Snake killing her Older brother Frank Jaegar. She is not really related, only because Naomi was a orphan who did not know her own name or identity, one of the reasons she got into gene therapy, was to find out about her self.
