M91/30 Mosin Nagant 32-20 WCF
This rifle is a real hoot. The reciever is a rough wartime M91/30 from a worn out U-Fix-Em. The barrel came from a M27 Finn rifle that blew up. The original chamber section was bulged but the bore was immaculate. Rather than let it go to waste, I had the smith chop off the chamber and rechamber it to the mild .32-20. I happened to have acquired a M91/30 bolt set up to extract .218 Bee from an aborted project. Fortunately for me, .32-20 has the same case head dimensions as the .218 Bee, and the .32-20 actually uses a .312 lead bullet. This was a natural combination. The receiver was relieved on top to make it easier to handload a .32-20 cartridge. The magazine is modified to be flush with the stock (a M91/59 stock). I had to relieve the barrel channel for the thicker Finn M27 barrel. The front sight is the original M27. This is a light handy rifle, capable of taking small game, even whitetail deer at close range.
