Nathaniel was once an assassin secretly working for the insectoid extraterrestrial Nekboth (a alterform of Deimos), then later as a lackey for Grego Alarotti, then even later as a partner of Laird Destreat working for former-general Patrick Fritz. Nathaniel is also a rival of Neyon Karowitz, as the two have had several one-on-one Gunblade duels. When no magic is involved the two are evenly strong, but Neyon's magic far outweighs Nathaniel's. The rivalry between them has grown into hatered on Nathaniel's part.
