All About Eve Home
Hi everybody! I'm Eve and I've been writing seriously since I was thirteen. I'm currently taking a break from school after getting my psych degree by working as a language teacher in a foreign country, but my lifelong dream is to own a smokey jazz club in Paris. And to write, of course!
The biggest influence on my writing was L.J. Smith--I read a bunch of her books and said to myself, "Self, imagine if you could write your own stories like this!" And voila, I was reborn. L.J. Smith writes for young adults, but her books are still a great read. For more information about her work, go here.
My favorite books of all time are the LOTR trilogy, by JRR Tolkien, The Stand by Stephen King, and anything by Anne Rice and Dean Koontz. Another great one to check out is Anne Bishop's Black Jewels trilogy: Daughter of the Blood, Heir to the Shadows, and Queen of the Darkness.
Mainly I write Buffy and Angel fiction, and Krycek-fic. I also dabble in Highlander, Dark Angel, and X-Men. If you would like to read some of my non-x-files fiction, click here
My favorite shows on TV are (currently) West Wing, Alias, Angel, Scrubs, and Whose Line is it Anyway?. You'll notice that X-Files is not on this list. Not anymore, at least. But I don't get to watch too much north american TV these days...
Some movies that I would recommend that everybody absolutely HAS to see at least once in their lives are the Count of Monte Cristo, Lord of the Rings trilogy and Matrix trilogy, Spiderman (I guarantee you'll fall madly in love with Tobey Maguire), Dirty Dancing, The Breakfast Club, The Princess Bride, Star Wars, the Indiana Jones movies, Life as a House, Donnie Darko, About a Boy, and 8 Mile.
And since this is a site about Alex Krycek, I guess I better mention him. Leave the best for last, right? To be completely honest, I didn't like Krycek when he first appeared in Season 2. I was a diehard Mulder/Scully fan and hated this geeky guy who was getting in between them. But Eve, you say, didn't you notice how absolutely edible the man is? To which I reply, of course not. I was thirteen and still recovering from the breakup of New Kids on the Block. Duh. Then Paper Clip happened. I don't know whether it was the realization that Krycek is a victim like everyone else, or the awesome butt shot as the car was exploding, but I've been a Krycek fan ever since.
So now that I've thoroughly bored you, I'll let you get back to our regularly scheduled programming. . .
