Me, what can i say? Hmm . . . I am a very visual person. I love art, always have. I even studied it awhile. I entered a lot of art competitions in school, and I used to draw and paint some, but I haven't in a very long time. I'm really into modern/pop art. I always loved the art deco work of Erte, and for some reason i have always been fascinated with the pin up art of Alberto Vargas, I think he was amazing. Of the modern day artists I love Basquit, Keith Haring, and fashion illustrator Antonio Lopez. Plus the masters like Degas, Picasso. There's also an artist named Penni Anne Cross that I love--she does the most incredible paintings of native americans. Her work just transports me to another place.
Reading is a large part of who I am. I've been reading every day since I was able to pick up a book. As a child I was a bookworm--I'd rather sit under a tree and read instead of play. Even now I'd rather have a book and a great CD over a TV show any day of the week. One day I plan on opening my own bookstore. I love to read crime stories, spy novels, sci fi fantasy, & horror. My favorite writers include Clive Barker (I love his twisted take on horror), Amy Tan, and Tony Hillerman . John Grisham, his book A Time To Kill changed my outlook on the justice system. Robert Ludlum, his Bourne series takes you for a rollercoaster ride. I also read Thomas Harris, Tom Clancy, and anything by Danielle Steele. I also read tons of fanfic from my favorite shows: My current obsession being Witchblade the series and it's star Yancy Butler. The X-Files, anything Krycek-centered, Alias, and a lot of shows that are off the air now like Highlander-The Series, Brimstone, Prey, First Wave, The Pretender, & Poltergeist The Legacy. When I do watch TV I tune into shows like Farscape, Strange World, all of the Law and Order series, Judging Amy, The Guardian, King of the Hill, the Simpsons, and South Park (until they gross me out totally--sometimes it goes too far even for me, and that's saying a lot.)
I love salsa, rock, jazz, and blues music. Favorite movies are both Terminators, Somewhere in Time, Alien & Aliens, The Cell (purely for the visuals, they were awesome), Francis Ford Coppola's Dracula, Sleepy Hollow, Manhunter (as the prequel to Silence of the Lambs it was a better movie all around), The Joy Luck Club, and a really strange comedy called The Opposite of Sex. Oh and how can i forget, in the mindless fluff catagory, Clueless, She's All That, Legally Blonde, 10 Things I Hate About You, and Josie & the Pussycats.
